cooked meals, both Western and Indian, and have every modern
amenity
including hot showers, clean cozy rooms with good views, and a
quiet location 15 minutes walk from the market.
Other facilities are our garden and patio, immensely
popular with visitors, library
for the bedroom huts. The huts are completely self sufficient
and fully furnished,
and are exceedingly popular choices with visitors whose stay
is longer than a week.
Even in the coldest winter
months, when snow blankets the ground, the huts are fully
operational,
being heated with an indigenous creation, the Hamaam
or Hot Stone.
Brown Palace makes extensive trekking arrangements -
pack ponies, food supplies,
porters, guides, tents - all at a moment's notice. We make
arrangements for all
sorts of treks, to every imaginable destination. Our luxury
treks, provided
upon special request, will keep you in the lap of
luxury 14,000 feet above sea level.
